So i went to Crri on Feb 1 at around 9:00am to summit my application for the fall semester, this will be my second time, hopefully i get in!!! How many times did you applied before getting in?
I feel your pain. I won't be able to handle another rejection...I still don't think I'm over the last one. The closer the end of the month comes...more anxiety builds. I do know I purchased the Taylor book already, and I could have spent a lot at Barnes & Noble today, Straight A's, care plans...I held back until I know. lol
I know it's easier said than done, but none of us will change anything by worrying or being anxious about CCRI's decision. The fact is, all that we could possibly do to influence the outcome of this selective process has already been done. What's left now is to wait and reap what we have sown. If you did the best you could, take a deep breath and relax, it will pay off! Let's keep the sanity :)
I might be wrong with this answer... but I don't think it's as simple as CCRI not accepting A's and B's. If you have 48 openings and all the applicants have GPAs 3.29 and lower... then you would have taken first place! What makes it so hard to get in is the competition! It's very affordable compared to everywhere else (where you can get in with lower GPA). The competition is so sick that I had people in some of my classes refusing to help others because they were afraid it would cost them later on! Now that's just crazy!
We really don't know. Your right everyone could have 3.0 and we will look like superstars. Last application period a girl was denied with a 3.8 & people with lower gpa's got in. So we really don't know until we can physically see it on our end...which I guess will be available to us next time around. Which none of us have to worry about because we are ALL getting in this time. :)
I am not a nursing major. But I found this forum while searching for CCRI acceptance. I too look desperately every day at times they have checked my degree evaluation or a letter of acceptance. But you guys honestly have a really good shot. I've been trying to get into ultrasound. Ultrasound only takes 15 people. At one campus. One time of year. One session. Fall that's it. 15 people all year. Nursing has spring, fall, tons of campuses and large #s. I have had a 4.0 and still nothing. My first year they were still taking people off a waiting list and only 5 ppl performance based got in. Then the next year they added physics as a requirement. Those classes filled up so fast. Oh god. But I got an A. Tried to apply again and nothing. Next year same thing. Now I have a 93, 96 on Heath Occup Exam and that's prob not going to be good enough.
