CCNE Accredidation

I have been accepted into two different programs. Both are CCNE accredited but someone from work said she chose not to go to one of the schools because they didn't have all the "right" Accreditation. She stated that the school she chose had a whole list of accreditation that the the cheaper one did not.

Could someone please tell me if I really need to be concerned or is CCNE enough.

    I personally only looked to see that my RN program had both CCNE and NLN accreditation and any after that had CCNE. I also take into account that the school is regionally accredited.

    I will continue my reserve military career so to go over to the Officer side I needed to have a Bachelor's program that is CCNE accredited and Regionally accredited per the Health Care Recruiter.

    Regional accreditation, in addition to CCNE, may be important if you plan to continue your nursing education beyond the BSN. There are many schools that have both (including quite a few for-profits such as UoPhx).

    I was accepted into the University of Wyoming. I chose this school because it was online, CCNE accredited, and because of the price. Now I'm beginning to panic. GULP!!! :eek:

    The school you listed is regionally accredited and CCNE accredited based on a quick google. You can verify it yourself if need be.

    Other schools: Chamberlain (more expensive), Thomas Edison State College, Excelsior, and I'm sure many others. To check just type in the school name and accreditation and you should be able to quickly find the schools accreditation. ~Best Wishes
