 I'm going to be taking the CCM Exam for the first time this Fall, and would like to hear from those who have taken it; i.e. what study materials (if any), did you find useful, and which areas of the test were the hardest? Thanks!:wink2:

Hi, I have a copy of a Case Managers Study Guide, 2nd edition, by Fattorusso and Quinn. I paid close to $100 on Amazon, there is writing and yellow highlights, but someone can have it for free if you pay postage and handling.

Let me know and is there anything else I should study?

Hi Tensgrrl,

My email is [email protected].

Thank you.

Hi, I sent you an email, did you get it?

I don't think so. I have been working alot extra lately and been busy since the test. email me. [email protected]

Thanks

Do I have to resubmit a whole new application to include supervisors validation if I want to retake the exam??? I did not pass , actually thought I did fairly well, geez. My dashboard finally has the update, however it only allows me to start a new application - no option was listed to retake? Anyone know how to bypass the entire process of application submission again? Thanks!

i agree with kerryboy1,the CCM exam secrets helped me a good amount. No wonder it recieved a 5 star rating.I got a really good deal on mine at ebid.net for $25.It took alot of searching to get it for that price.

CCM Certificate Received!

I took the exam on 04/15/11 and I received the certificate in the mail on 05/10/11. That was really fast. I was anticipating 6 weeks.

Best Wishes to all!

Got the preliminary " pass" following my retake test!! So happy!! :yeah:

took the ccm exam last friday 8/26 and passed.

i only studied for a few hours the days prior to the test...the few things that i felt were the most beneficial were as follows:

1) glossary from ccmc site

2) ccm exam secrets - nicely condensed, good price, immediate download if you don't want to wait for the books

3) prime - essentials in case management

i also looked at a case managers study guide by denise fattorusso and dr. linton hutchinson's site.[color=#00681c]

none of the practice questions on any of the resources were on my ccm exam...and where the practice exam answer options were things like 1 & 2, or 3 &4, or all of the above, or none of the above, the ccm exam questions were not like that at all...you chose one answer. if anything, studying and going over questions may not have prepared me for the content of the exam, however it did prepare me on test taking. sort of got me in the mind frame to take a test...don't leave any questions unanswered, don't second guess yourself and change answers unless you know for a fact that you have the right answer, take your time and read the question and all of the answers well before you answer, etc.

a lot of the test was common sense....i happened to have a lot of psych related questions on mine, which someone else said that they did too.

glad they give the preliminary results now - i don't think i could wait 4-6 weeks to find out if i passed! lol

good luck to everyone who takes it! *wine

Hi everyone, I just took my CCM 10/29/2011. I know the date is werid. I was actually scheduled for 8/28 but Hurricane Irene was coming and Prometrics called and said all the testing centers were closed that day and I was allowed to rescheduled. Thank god, because I wasnt ready. Well, I passed!!! I used a few books and cd rom questions and it really helped me. if any one interested Ill sell them half off. The books really helped with me Pyschoscocial, vocational, disabilities, quality management, insurance, etc. Let me know if you are interested. The CD is great too, with 1000 questions and the test was actually easy than the CD.
