Dear Angelrnstat,
Hang in there...this was a very difficult test to pass because of the questions. So many came out of left field. Studying was not easy for this test. Take a break, a breather and you will come back so much stronger next year!!

Haven't heard of the the 3 day pre-test. As you may already know there are web sites you can subscribe to that have on-line CCME pre-test. Links acn be found on the CMA web site.

Hi Angelrnstat,
I'm so sorry to hear you didn't pass. Take a deep breath and hang in there! It was a very hard exam... i took it April 11th. I'm very glad to say I just checked my dashboard and I passed. I am very happy. :) But also very surprised b/c I walked out of there thinking I had failed- it was very hard to study for. Keep your head up!

Hello Cubbieblue 99 and MTFCaseManager,
Thank you both for your understanding. Congratulations Cubbieblue99 on passing the exam. I will get it next time. Have a great weekend. :)

I PASSED. I can't believe it. I have looked at that dashboard three times because I just can't believe it. I tooked the test April 17th 2009 and was 99.9 % sure I failed. Nothing I studied for was on that test and I usually do not do well if I don't know the material. I am going to find out all about the CEU's and make sure I get those in on time because I never want to take that test again.

Hi Starbuck and Dread,
CONGRATS!! I'm with you Starbuck, I thought for sure I failed, there was NOTHING i studied on the test and I had an awful feeling after I took it. NEVER had that feeling before after any test. But by the grace of God, I passed! My heart was pounding when I went on the dashboard and when I saw the red "passed" I jumped up and down yelling in my apartment building! All my neighbors probably thought I was nuts! I didn't care! Yes make sure you keep up with you CCM'S. Join the CMSA if you can, they have seminars that have alot of CCM's. I think you need 80 in a 5 yr period (this is a rough guess from what I remember from another CM at work.)

Hi I am new to this site. Anyone taking the CCM exam in August? Lets try and see if we can conquer this thing together.

I will be taking the test. I bought the latest edition of The Case Manager's Handbook by Catherin Mullahey (sp?) I ordered mine from Amazon.com. I started reading it and I also copied the definitions off of the CCM Exam website.
Hi I have the same book also. I was wondering if anyone have the standard of practice that they ask you to read.
I had it but lost it somehow moving. THe cost is 45.00 on the Case Management website. I think its less for members.

i just passed my ccm this spring. my local cmsa organization put together a 10-12 week class and used [color=#003399]case [color=#003399]managers study guide by fattorusso. i wasn't able to attend all of the sessions. i also purchased, read and reviewed and referenced [color=#003399]cmsa core curriculum for case management, [color=#003399]the case manager's handbook, third edition and [color=#003399]the case manager's survival guide: winning strategies many times during my years as a case manager. i must say the whole idea of taking the ccm was very intidimating and kept me from taking it much sooner. that having been said, the test itself was also very intimidating. the test i took was not the test i studied for and i feel the only reason i passed was because of my diligent use of the above cited texts in my practice and my experience over the years in this field. be ready for anything.
