CCBC Nursing Fall 2015

Published

Hi all!! Just wondering if anyone else applied to the upcoming fall semester to CCBC? I want to get a feel of all the competition that I am up against.... LOL!

No you won't owe anything at orientation unless you want to preorder your uniform

But if you go to Flynn and o hara. There's one in Towson. You'll probably get it fast and if you pick it up there it's free shipping. Once I find my cpr card I'll tell you the name

Of The woman who does very cheap certifications. At orientation they'll tell you when everything needs to be turned in. I have a post somewhere that listed some other things to remember when it was fresher in my mind so look at my older post too.

Thank you thank you!!!

Who can I contact about signing up for financial aid?

You need to file for fafsa. They'll send you're financial need to Ccbc and then Ccbc will tell you what you're eligible for. Loans max out at 10500.

Does anyone know if financial aid considers the nursing program full time since it is not 12 credits? I'm just wondering if I will get my full pell grant or if it will be cut. Thanks!

If you only do the 3 nursing classes it's 9 credits so you get 3/4 time

Ok that's what I thought, thanks!

Is the dosage class hard? I'm freaking out about it because I'm so bad at math! Thanks for all your help : )

The dosage class is just self paced modules in black board and then abut 4 weeks in you have a timed dosage test 20 basic math question. D/h x Q dosage over have time quantity.

Thank you so much! You are a life saver, do you have to take dosage before every semester?

Yes you do. So along with the module before you test you will have a dosage lab. Teachers will be available to help you then. Also you have 4 chances to pass I only knew people that only needed two times. A lot of people failed for improper labeling or rounding.

For anyone else that was at essex day orientation, the instructors said we will automatically be placed in all of our classes right? I missed that part there was so much info to take in! Thanks
