CCBC Nursing Applicants 2021

Published

Hi Everyone,

I created this for everyone to share their journey as you apply to nursing school. Please feel free to share stats or any information.

Has anyone been waitlisted for the Spring 2021 semester at Essex? Anyone know how this process typically works?

Hi everyone! I am wondering if anyone else is applying for fall of 2021. I just took my TEAS so I am feeling a little upset about that, because I only got proficient. I got a 78 in my reading so I'm hoping I will be okay. Is anyone familiar with the application process? I keep getting so confused when I go on to CAS. Good luck to everyone! ☺️

@Jorddd0722, Hey I am not applying to the Fall 2021 program, only because  I was accepted into the Spring 2021 cohort.  But the application process can be a bit much. First you would need to apply to the school first. If your already enrolled in CCBC then you would need to complete a second application in CAS and input your transcript classes, TEAS results along with picking the program you want to apply to (note: you can only apply to one program a semester) and lastly they have several questions at the end to answer. After you have completed the application you would pay the fifty dollar application fee. Just remember you also need to send a hard copy of your transcript to CAS. Lastly after your application has been reviewed CCBC will have you submit a supplemental application through Simon. I hope this at least directs you in the right direction.

@Brownsugar15 I am applying for Fall 2021 program as well. I submitted my application a month ago along with everything else. When I log into Simon to check my application, it says "SHP received and under review" but towards the bottom for the TEAS scores.. it says received (blank), note (blank), and status (blank). Is it normal that the TEAS score area is blank especially for the received part? Should I call to double check if they got it or?

@JennnnnnnnHello, it will remain blank the entire time. The only place I remember inputting my TEAS results was in the CAS application. I would still call just to double check that they have it  ?? Good Luck.

Good to know. Thank you for letting me know!

@Jennnnnnnn my application summary does not have a spot for the TEAS at all? Im wondering if I submitted my application wrong...

I have no idea, this is my first time applying as well. Did you already submit your TEAS score? I would recommend to definitely call and make sure if that's normal just to be safe.

I put my scores in on the CAS application, but it said on the TEAS website that they would send me scores to CCBC for free since I took my TEAS there. I hope I did it right.

Yes, that is exactly what I did as well.

Hi everyone, I am just looking for some advice and wondering if anyone who has been accepted had the same criteria as myself. An advisor kind of put me down and said she doesn't have high hopes ill be accepted. I submitted my first ever application for the fall 2021 program RN day program. My overall GPA is a 3.0 right now, I got an A in 110, B in 220, and a C in 221 (online A&P was very hard for me), and an A in psych 103. I am registered for micro for the Spring. I got a 79.8% in my reading section for the TEAS and an over all proficient score. Did anyone else who was accepted have anything similiar to me? Or just I just plan on not getting accepted. I also submitted for the Notre dame atb program alongside. Any advice would be great. Congrats to all who have been accepted and Merry Christmas! ?

Hi Jordd,

Honestly, my stats was not that great at all and I was accepted into the cohort evening at Catonsville for Spring 2021. My overall GPA was 2.84, sciences when calculated with that stupid CAS system was less than 2.5, TEAS was proficient, reading also. 79%.
I think you’ll be just fine! Just keep working hard on your remaining pre requisites. ( I heard it’s good to have all the pre reqs done prior to applying, so that may have helped me)

Anyways, good luck!! ;)
