CCAC Spring 2013 hopefuls!

Just wanted to start a thread for those who applied to CCAC for this upcoming Spring semester. What were your stats when you applied? What campus did you select? What are your nursing goals? I applied with a 3.8 GPA with Micro completed (as well as Eng Comp 1 & Psych 101). In currently taking a&P 1, Eng Comp 2 & MAT 108. I applied to Allegheny Day & I hope to become either a L&D nurse, nurse at Children's hospital or NICU nurse :)

Hi all,

Congratulations to the victims of the 2013 Nursing Program! I have a question I was hoping someone could help with; when you got your drug screen, did the place you got it at keep the drug screen paper? I was told by Concentra that they would be mailing the results to the school and then they kept my form. But, as I re-read the packet it states quite clearly that the Drug Screen form is part of the "battery of tests and checks" that we will need to hand in by January 2nd.

Can anyone share their experience so that I have something to compare to? Thanks!

Yeah they kept mine too. They told me I'd get a copy as well as they would send the school a copy. I assume they keep the paper and fill it out & send it to CCAC when the results come in.

Hi. I need help because i don't know what to do. I appealed my denial and it resulted that Amber made a mistake, she didn't calculate my grades correctly and admitted that i was elegible to receive my first choice of campus. The situation now is that she can not fix it because she says, that the list was already sent to the campus and they are past the limit.

I am frustrated because, how can it be possible that one have to pay for someone else mistake? It ia not fair that now i have to wait for the next semester, just because she made a mistake. It is not fair at all. I need an advise, there must be something i can do to get justice done.

Unfortunately there's nothing you can do, they can't revoke other people's seats. Hopefully maybe you're high on the waitlist & if someone can't take their seat, you'll get a call. Good luck!
