I'm so relieved to say that I received my scores today and passed! I took the test on January 23rd at CCAC North Campus. Anyone else heard yet??

Hi I am prepping to take the PAX August 18th and after reading some of your posts I am really nervouse. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips on what to study the most?

The verbal part is mostly you either know it or you don't. It tests the reading skills you have developed over your life, so I don't really think you can study for that. I also don't think you can really do much to study for the vocabulary questions either. Just too many words in the dictionary. But, what I would recommend is to be very cognizant of the time as you are taking the test! A lot of people run into problems because they spend too much time on certain questions that it leaves them racing through other questions.

On math, make sure you turn the page and see there are more than 45 questions or whatever that number is! I read posts from people on here who say they stopped at 45 or so because they thought that was it.

Science, brush up on some physics, and basic biology. Coulombs, waves, amplitude, circuits, what is a carb, structure of an atom, atomic mass, atomic number, ph, etc.

I'm going to be taking the PAX soon. I've been studying the "RN Pre-Entrance Exam book" sold in the CCAC bookstore. Will I find many of the same questions on the actual test?
