CCAC Fall 2021 Applicants

Published

Obviously, it's a bit early to know anything. I just wanted to get something started so all of us CCAC fall 2021 applicants can get talking and share information. I applied before the March 1st Deadline.

I'm hoping to get accepted into Fast Track at Boyce. If not, evening at South or Allegheny. After this Summer, I will have all of my non-nursing courses completed.

I also applied to Shadyside School of Nursing.

Thanks for the advice! I suppose one silver lining is that I already have half of the "UPMC Mandatory Trainings" done since I've worked here for so long. I just have to log on and print the certificates. Keep me posted if you run into any problems and I'll do the same ?

So I work for UPMC as well. I notice that some of the mandatory training had different names in Learning then what was listed in the document provided.  I *think* I have them all. I saved the certificate and the transcripts since some of them were in packages, I.e. inpatient nursing included a few different modules.

Also, we got a lot more info from Boyce yesterday. I'm a bit bummed we have no control over our schedule, but I guess that's just how it is. I'll make it work.

I’m also super bummed out about not being able to pick our own class times. I literally just switched departments at work so that I could work overnight and go to school during the day. I know that some of the classes go pretty late into the evening. My new job is 10:30pm to 7:00am. I’m praying that it all works out!

I got my schedule for the fall already! I didn't expect it so soon.

I got mine as well! Monday from 4:00pm to 7:40pm, Tuesday from 4:00pm to 9:50pm, and my clinical is Wednesday from 3:00pm to 11:00pm. Not sure the hospital yet. What does your schedule look like??
