CCAC Fall 2021 Applicants

Obviously, it's a bit early to know anything. I just wanted to get something started so all of us CCAC fall 2021 applicants can get talking and share information. I applied before the March 1st Deadline.

I'm hoping to get accepted into Fast Track at Boyce. If not, evening at South or Allegheny. After this Summer, I will have all of my non-nursing courses completed. 

I also applied to Shadyside School of Nursing.

Hello! I also applied before March 1st. All my non-nursing courses are completed and my first choice was Fast Track at Boyce :) Will keep you updated when I hear anything!

I just got an email from Amber Reed. We should be receiving our letters next week! Fingers Crossed!

Just curious, I know the email said that the letters would be sent out all week long, but has anybody heard anything?

Nope. I keep checking my email and the discover page. Nothing. It still says "submitted". When I looked at post from previous years, this seems pretty standard. 

I have no idea how they tackle all the applications. My last name starts with "W" so if they go alphabetically I'll be near last. They might go by application date or when they received everything or by site. ?

Just got my acceptance letter e-mail ? Boyce Campus Fast Track! My Discover page hasn’t updated yet, but when it does, I’ll accept it!

Hello to everyone! I just got a HUGE e-mail about the next steps pertaining to our acceptance to the nursing program. I'm not even sure where to start! Any tips would be greatly appreciated, haha.

I got mine today too!

I made my Castle Bridge account right after. I called my doctor and made my physical appointment. The first available time they had was mid-June so that I would do that ASAP

I'm working on signing and uploading my paperwork tonight

I'm going to do my clearances and schedule my CPR/ BLS over the next week. I wanted to go through the red cross for my BLS, but evidently, CCAC doesn't accept theirs. The fingerprinting was backed up for a while, so I'd start on that sooner rather than later too.

I plan on having as much as I can out of the way as soon as possible.

Thanks for the advice! I suppose one silver lining is that I already have half of the "UPMC Mandatory Trainings" done since I've worked here for so long. I just have to log on and print the certificates. Keep me posted if you run into any problems and I'll do the same ?
