Caught on Nanny Cam

Dear Nurse Beth,

Attorney general wants me to pay a settlement for a complaint against me for not taking neuros and stating I did. Letter states they will call BON. This was supposedly captured by a nanny cam. Other nurses were involved in complaint about vitals. Will my license be taken?

Dear Captured on Nanny Cam,

Please get yourself an attorney who specializes in representing nurses to the BON.

The BON is not on your side in the sense that their purpose is to protect the public- not nurses. Every case is considered on a case-by-case basis and when you have an opportunity to explain and defend yourself, you need a professional on your side.

It may seem expensive, but it's your livelihood that's at stake.

When dealing with the BON, respond to every written request and meet every deadline. You will need to show remorse for your actions and take responsibility. They will be looking to see that you have changed your behavior and will not repeat your mistake in the future.

Best wishes,

Nurse Beth
