a switch to case management? or additional employement?

Specialties Case Management

Published

good evening y'all, my first day on this site, was looking for any knowledge about case management. A friend of mine is talking to me about it and saying it's the best job in the world. I have no experience in this field, clearly, but worked trauma 1 as an RN for many years and now fly as an RN for the past 2. Have my BSN,RN, CEN, NR-EMT, and a laundry list of CERTS after that. My questions are mainly, is this a real thing? work from home? make more than i'm making now? Seems to good to be true, usually those situations are too good to be true! Thanks for any information on this subject.

Yes, there are legitimate case management jobs where you are able to work from home - insurance companies, etc. I cannot attest to the pay vs. what you currently make.

After a decade of doing floor nursing, I secured a work-from-home case management position for a major insurance company. Yes, it's the real thing.

This job is so flexible it's scary. I feel as if I've struck gold. The pay is slightly less than what I earned on the floor, but my stress level is much lower and my commute often consists of a few steps to the home office.
