i live in casa grande, and i really like it here. i live in the beazer homes by the homedepot, that are right behind the new lowes. we chose this part of town, because it seemed to be where all the new stuff was going up. there's going to be a new mall too that is going in by the I-10 florence interchange. we really like the neighborhood here, and the community. i hear the newer beazer homes going up on mcmurry, and peart are offering huge incentives right now, something like 25-30k in incentives. but i'm sure that there are other builders making good offers too, as the market has slowed down here the last couple of months. i haven't really heard about any area of town to stay away from though. good luck

The thought of being a patient at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center scares me. I'd work there, but I won't ever be a patient there again if I am conscious and can drag myself across the desert by my tongue to another hospital.

The hospital sucks, but it is not a bad toehold into the US if that is what a foreign nurse is looking for...
so how long did you work there? or were you a patient?
Did my CNA training there. Opinions are like "belly buttons" - everyone has one. But I couldn't stand the place (I was on the telemetry floor for almost two months). The nurses were not friendly and mega-lazy, the CNAs completely overworked, the cases not very interesting, docs difficult to "understand". Someone may write that it is the Taj Majal of nursing - so don't go just by me. I got crucified before for saying Casa Grande is a boring hick town and I'd sooner live in Tempe, AZ and commute. Be your own judge, get the green card, and enjoy life in sunny AZ.
In its' favor, Casa Grande is VERY, VERY, VERY affordable...
thankyou!
plan is
work in CG
live in Chandler
enjoy sunshine on day off
not expect great things, just my paycheck, on time!
work things out slowly, if i like it i will stick around
i come from a tiny village on the english/welsh border so CG will be like living in NY to me lol
i like that aspect:D
You've got the right attitude. One great aspect of Chandler is the proliferation of high-tech businesses and the international and affluent workforce of engineering types they attract. So there is a great variety of some of the best ethnic food and markets in metro Phoenix. Not a bad place if you want a nice suburban environment with a good restaurant variety. Can't go wrong with that! Also, great shopping, cultural center, etc.
I'm originally from NYC - but I've spent my share of time in cities of all different sizes. Casa Grande will still kind of suck to you (flamers stay away - you ain't changing my mind), but since you are not living there, who cares anyway. Paychecks will not bounce!
Enjoy our beautiful country, or rather, I hope you enjoy our beautiful country as much as I enjoy the UK!
paychecks that dont bounce!!
im sold lol
