I am currently employed in a mid level management position in the transportation industry. I am going to start my nursing prereqs this fall and am looking at getting into a nursing program fall of 2006. My plan is this, complete my prereqs and finish up my BS in business admin/finance (I only have a couple classes left). Once I start my nursing classes I wanted to quit my current job (I could not keep it any way due to travel requirements) and was thinking about becoming a CNA to get some practical experience (I have done volunteer work in the past). I know I will take a big pay cut but I am not married and do not have any children so I could swing it. Do many places offer tuition reimbursment for CNA's?? Also, would this be my best course of employment to pursue during my nursing courses?? I have no problem starting at the CNA position. I think starting at the CNA position would also give me a good perspective. Thoughts??
