Hi- I posted a thread earlier regarding telephone nursing. I am seeking advice on job searching. I recently graduated from nursing school with an ADN. I also passed the boards. This was a second career for me. I have a BA in Psych and an MSEd. I am currently looking for a job but have not even so much as gotten any calls for an interview. I have 2 children at home and a husband that travels a lot for work. The more I apply for these jobs, the more I am coming to realize that a traditional acute care job may not be the best option for me family wise right now. It would work better when both kids are in school. I of course want to find something in the interim, but am not not sure what venues are best to explore. I am wondering if anyone has any advice or words of wisdom on career searching for me. Ideally for now, something part time would be best. I had thought about the telephone nursing or even home care settings. Most require experience, but I have heard of some that do not. I have not located any though in my area. Does anyone have any suggestions for me?
Thank you!
