I was offered a job in the Cardiovascular Recovery Room. I am going to set up a shadow day before I take it but I was wondering if any of you guys have had any kind of experience on this kind of unit and what is was like?? I have always only worked in the traditional ICU units. Apparently these patients are acutely ill and recovering from all sorts of cardiac surgeries where they stay in the CVRR for 1-2 days. I want to go back to school eventually to be an acute care np and was hoping to get good experience for that. the CVRR is considered an "ICU". any input is great, thanks!
