Hello...

I need some assistance..i have been a nurse for about 6 years on a med/surg and ortho units... well i recently transfered to a medical tele floor.... :chair: and needless to say I feel like hiding somewhere.. I would greatlt appreciate any tips you guys have picked up over the years...But i must say I LOVE LOVE LOVE it so far... The pt education aspect of it is amazing...:D

I'm a nursing student and was just wondering what does ACLS stand for?

It stands for advance care life support... it is a course on med drips... tele strips... emergencey situatons... actully i am taking it in june.. thanks

I thought ACLS stood for advanced CARDIAC live support. Someone tell me if I'm wrong

According to my ACLS Textbook, it stands for Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.

actully.. I have not taken the whole course yet.. my hospital offers it with a whole bunch of other stuff...like a critical care course.. an vent course... it is pretty coom.... a little overwhelming but cool........
