I was accepted into CFCC for the 2022 FALL term and I've had some worries about the difficulty of the program. Has anyone gone through it that can give me their experience? My main worry is the extremely high attrition rate and how hard it supposedly is to make a B average. I am worried that I will be ruining my chances at a MSN later down the line if I mess up my GPA. I was referencing average NCLEX scores over the last 10 years and CFCC has the highest out of all Universities and Community Colleges in the state. Which I know implies that it will be overtly challenging to make it through.
Been there done that? What was your point count? I have not heard anything yet? Did they say what number you were?
My point count was 377. I also talked to a girl who had friends with a 385 & 369 who were selected as alternates too. From what I've heard, they won't tell you your alternate number unless you go in person! Im hoping you get in!! You will have to keep me posted!
The wait to know if I'll make it off the alternate list is excruciating. Like, I'm already trying to coordinate my Spring schedule changes just in case... Eek! I wish they would tell us what our place is on the alternate roster and how many total alternates there are.

Someone with a 388 just got accepted for Spring 2024. I bet your friend with the 385 is really high up on the alternates list.

In past years "all or almost all" alternates got in. I was told to "get ready" by another CFCC healthcare employee when I told her I was an alternate.

This is awesome to have someone to share with. I found a subreddit on CFCC's reddit group with one person but haven't been able to find much more unless I'm on here!! Are you feeling okay? Nervous? I totally am!

So anxious/nervous/excited! And yes, I'm SO glad I found this forum too because it's definitely helping my nerves to know others are in the same boat of anticipation.
I hope that as the days proceed and people know whether or not they will be starting that we can have an actual group chat or fb group to convene within.
I've been told a lot of students apply to several nursing programs and that CFCC isn't always their first choice, so when they find out they got into their priority school they will turn down their seat at CFCC... Fingers crossed!

I am out of state so it is a crazy thing for me right now!
trying to figure out whether or not to make the move is causing me HUGE STRESS!! What is your plan if you don't get accepted this round? What have you heard about CFCC's admissions if anything?
