Can't stand the waiting list wait

Published

Is anyone else in my shoes? I am number 2 on the waiting list for St. Mary's in the Cities and I can't stand the wait. The good thing is I am automatically in in 2008, but if I am going to do this I would get started. The worst thing is I know there is another nurse in my institution that has been accepted to SMU and the U of MN and she has accepted both spots. This takes me back to the other thread talking about having the courtesy to make up you mind and let the other program you aren't coming.

I really feel like e-mailing the director of SMU and telling her the situation to see if she might contact the person, but I think that is probably over stepping my bounds. Especially since I don't even know the girl. She is the friend of one of my co-workers girlfriend.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

U of MN's deadline was Aug 1, 2006 for class starting 2007...admissions just started reviewing the apps as far as I know, and on their website they don't carry over the waiting list for next year so I don't know how she was accepted when they haven't even started any interviews..interviews are usually conducted on the month of October..unless U of MN changed their mind and offered a spot? of which I highly doubt it...

Specializes in SRNA class of 2010.

a waiting list is better than no list. you know youre in, take the time to do some overtime and save for when your broke for 2 1/2 years during the program.
