Can't decide between Macomb Community College and Oakland University

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello all! I'm hoping I can get some opinions on my issue...

I have been attending Oakland University for the past few years. I applied to their nursing program and was declined, so I started looking into going to Macomb Community College for their nursing program instead. However, now I keep going back and forth between which school I should go to. For Oakland I would have to retake a couple classes to boost my GPA and hope for the best when I reapply for the nursing program. For Macomb I would have to take a couple classes and the HESI test before applying to their program. I feel I could do well on the HESI test and in the couple classes I would need. However, with Macomb, it is only an associate degree so once I finished that I would transfer back to Oakland anyway to get my bachelors. I am so torn on what to do! Any suggestions would be great and if anyone whose been in either schools nursing program could give me some insight into how competitive each program is that would be great as well!

Thank you!!
