Can't afford nursing school

This is more like a vent. I got accepted into nursing school but I'm $5000 short. I already have fed loans but it just wasn't enough. I'm not against private loans I'm just not able to get one. I don't have any credit and my mom has bad credit and student loans that she still owes. I feel like this is my only chance so I just have to do what I have to do.

While I do agree with most of what you're saying, I'm not sure what you mean by a real license? To clarify, the license is granted by the state BON, not the school. Maybe the degree is bogus (in some people's eyes) but it is enough for the state BON for them to grant the graduate the right to sit for NCLEX.

But I definitely agree on the exploitation of desperate people.

Exactly. If the BON allows graduates with a degree from that school to sit on the boards, then it's considered accredited by that state, and their license will be considered valid.

I think we all can understand of how much you want to start school. We have all been there. I wish you the best with whatever you decide.
