I simply Googled vitamin B17 (because, after 10 years of working with pediatric oncology patients in some manner, I've never even heard of this specific B vitamin) and this is the first hit I got:

Cancer in general | Laetrile (amygdalin or vitamin B17) | Cancer Research UK

There is no evidence that laetrile can help with cancer, but some people use it because they believe it might:

  • improve their health, energy levels and wellbeing
  • detoxify and cleanse the body
  • help them to live longer

[h=2]Research into laetrile as a cancer treatment[/h]Most of the websites or magazines promoting laetrile base their claims on unsupported opinions and anecdotal evidence. There isn't any scientific evidence that laetrile is an effective treatment for cancer or any other illness.

So, so far, I'm doubting this article was a reputable source.
