Is anyone using CTAS instead of ESI? If so, please let me know if you have any training aids/presentations, etc. I am looking for anything beyond what we can download from the caep.ca site — I already have those items — and I know about the app as well.

Thanks!! :)

If you implement this I would love to hear how it goes!

We're already using it, I just want to master it! I have to audit traumas and how they are triaged as walk-ins, so I need to make sure I have a solid grip. :)

What process led your hospital to using CTAS instead of ESI? Just curious. Any bumps in the road related to billing?

I am not sure — I am still new to this place. I will ask, though. Good questions! I know they thought about switching to ESI but decided against it. They like the complaint-driven model vs. resource-based. It makes the triage seem more nursing-centric.
