Ah, I'm jealous! I'm kicking myself for not taking advantage of an acceptance to a BN program in my hometown of Vancouver.. Instead I decided to do the ADN in California and hopefully be able to somehow continue my education back home in Canada while working (earning money faster). Where are you going to school?
GOOD LUCK!
Thank you CGardi! I'm starting my degree at Mount Royal College in Calgary. Good luck to you too. I hope everything works out for you and that you get to come back to Canada soon (although I'm pretty sure all us canadians will be begging to switch shoes with you in a few months ).

I'm actually starting 2nd year here in Vancouver at Kwantlen. Does anyone know about Employee student nurse opportunities in the states for next summer or over seas, my friend said the government has some sort of program where by we can get paid and the government helps with your travel expense while you work in Europe or ever. She's doing it next year in England.

Hey
Just wanted to say good luck at mt royal! I am doing nursing there too...I'm just starting my second year. Which pattern are you in (do you start nursing classes right away or in the second semester?)
Thanks Studentnurse2012. Congrats on starting your second year. I think my pattern is called N1 - I start nursing classes right away. I'm excited but super nervous at the same time :) Are you enjoying Mt. Royal?

Hi,
I am also a fellow Canuck starting first year this fall.
I am going to Douglas and its nice to meet you all!
Good luck!
Yes i really love mt royal...I cant imagine going anywhere else. The small classes are great for nursing, and the profs are so helpful/nice. I'm sure you will really enjoy it there!
First year is really overwhelming and you will get stressed out, but you will make it through...
If you need anything/have questions feel free to message me!

Aww I'm so glad that you're happy in the Mt. Royal nursing program - that gets me even more excited . Thanks for your encouragement. I get easy overwhelmed with school stuff so I've bought a day planner that lots of ppl suggested on here (and UNcalendar), I've been on blackboard everyday checking out the one class that's up on there already and I've started reading a few of my books so hopefully I'll be somewhat prepared come Sept. My bf is already calling me a keener - I dont mind at all. Mostly I just hope I can keep it up. haha!
