Hello!
I am a new RN looking to relocate to a specific state. Any hospitals recruiting Canadian Nurses right now?
Thanks

In New York the deadline for healthcare workers to receive their first dose of the covid vaccine was yesterday. Otherwise they risk getting fired. I hate the thought of a nurse losing their job, and I'm not sure how many still refused the vaccine after the deadline passed. But I'm sure understaffing is still an issue. I'm just not sure how you would go about the whole process, though.

Hii. I heard about the temporary emergency waiver. Some hospitals I know in Maine & New Hampshire put US new grads on nurse residency. Not sure on other states. If you wanted secured placement in the US then do the ff if you haven't started yet.
1. US hospital. It is easy to just contact hospital HR recruiter via email if they are hiring new grads Canadians and aware of TN1.
2. CGFNS Visa screen certificate (education screening) $590 USD. Transcript. Diploma. Canadian Registration.
3. US State License probably by endorsement/initial exam depending on the State. Some States don't require SSN to release your license. Fingerprint. SSN waiver if applicable.
4. US Employer Letter. Needed at the border in order to get TN. Very specific letter and different from the job offer. Usually, the immigrant specialist&hospital lawyer will communicate to you.
5. TN (NAFTA/CUSMA) status for Canadians $50 + $6 USD
6. US Social Security Number ~1month to release. Needed in order to start work.

Anybody knows a good agency that offers employment for Canadian RNs to the US specifically in California?
