I am a Canadian RN (BSN) coming to Washington. I'd like to know from other nurses/people who might know about some of the differences you've seen & experienced between the two places.
Things I am particularly interested to know about are clinical issues- for example, I know Canada and US uses different Blood Sugar units for monitoring, and I think also several values for what's considered textbook "normal" are off too (for example, ABG interpretation- HCo3 is different). Practically speaking there is no difference, but I am going to write my NCLEX soon so if both countries have different "normal" values for things, that might alter my responses.
I'd also like to hear any other differences you've noted (ie, personal experiences, etc)
Thanks!

I suggest you pick up a Saunder's NCLEX review book, it'll have all the answers you're looking for.
I'm Canadian born, educated here too, my husband is American which is why the move. I will be relocating there around Aug-Sept, just waiting for my papers to be processed.
I have a mosby's NCLEX review, which has certain things- although not a "list" per se. I just thought someone might have other thoughts/experiences to share.
