Canadian Nursing program transfer to USA?

Hi, I am a high school senior and I currently reside in Canada. I plan to study nursing, work in the ICU for a year and apply to become a CRNA. With research I've discovered that there is no CRNA program in Canada but there is a RN program. Can I become a RN in Canada and then just apply to CRNA programs in the US? I'm asking because I would rather not study in the US due to high tuition costs. But on the contrary, I'm contemplating on attending an American School because there is a possibility that applying to a CRNA program there might be more convenient (visa, no extra testing, NCLEX, etc). I don't know the specifics of how this works in Canada, but, in the US, there is a big difference between CRNAs and AAs. I would encourage you to research this v. carefully before deciding to go the AA route.

I know that if you obtain licensure in the USA, you have to apply to the CRNBC if you plan on working in BC and then take the Canada version of the NCLEX exam. I think the rules vary from state to state and province to province.
