Canadian ER RN wanting to travel to US trauma centre

Hello everybody!

I was wondering if anyone has any information on how to become an ER RN in the states at a trauma centre. I currently have 3 years experience as an ER nurse and would like to broaden my horizons and venture down to the states (hopefully somewhere warm!) and expand my career. I live in Southern Ontario and am not familiar with nursing agencies or travel agencies - are these the only options that I would have to get a job in the states since I am Canadian? Can anybody provide me with some information as to where I need to go from here? Ex, NCLEX, liscensure with a specific state, best states to work in, etc.

Starting point would be looking at the state BON and meeting their requirements. Then suggest doing search in the Advice on Immigration forum for TN which if a Canadian citizen is a good option to use to live and work in the US
