Canadian educated,Passed NCLEX in state of GA

Published

I'm an American internationally educated nurse (RN). Initially when I returned to the USA I wanted to practice in my home state of Georgia and I applied through CGFNS to have my credentials verified. I wrote the NCLEX and passed the first try and the state of Georgia issued my license. I no longer wish to practice in Georgia and have found New York State more to my liking. I have applied for verification through CGFNS with New York State. I have also submitted all required forms for licensure with New York State. Since I have already passed the NCLEX in Georgia and received my RN license do I inform New York State? Or do I wait until CGFNS issues their report to New York state then I notify the state? Which is the best route to go?
