Can someone enlighten me about the switch in 2015 from Master of NP to Doctor of NP?

Is it 100% for sure that the Masters program to become a NP will be now a Doctorate in 2015? Does anyone know why this is happening? or more details on it? Does this mean I have to be completed with a Master's program in 2015 or can I be just starting out? Thanks!

There are many existing threads discussing this topic -- I'm sure you could find them by browing through the NP forum or using the Search button. At this point, the DNP as minimum preparation for NPs is a proposal by some of the academic nursing organizations, not a requirement.
