Jun 1, 2017 A lot of docs will write, "lungs clear to auscultation bilaterally with good air movement in all fields" which differentiates between adventitious sounds (e.g. rales, etc) and air flow (diminished or not).Lungs can certainly be clear but diminished

TicTok411 99 Posts Jun 11, 2017 Many COPD patients have air trapping or hyper resonate lung sounds upon percussion and yes they can be clear as far as being free of wheezes and rales, but diminished r/t poor air movement.
