Can I take an NCLEX in California? dont have US visa yet.

I'm from the philippines, i dont have a US visa yet..

but im planning to take my NCLEX exam in California.

I know that there is already a testing center

for NCLEX here in Manila but my mom suggested

to take the exam in California so i could visit my cousins

and aunts there.

I know that i have to wait for my ATT for me to schedule for an exam,

when do u think should i get a US visa interview?

and would the consul allow me to take my exam there?

has anybody here done the same thing who just took the exam

there? help!

The US will not issue a tourist visa for someone to come to the US to take the NCLEX exam. And they actually frown on that. There is no reason to take it in the US, and on top of it, there are no visas available for you to remain in the US, so you will have to go back to wait just like the others. And expect it to be probably about two years of waiting, it is not instant at all.

If you do not already have a tourist visa for the US, your chances of getting one are quite slim. Save your money and test where you are.
