I just started in oncology med-surg unit, will have 1750 hours in 10 months. Am I eligible to take CCRN exam in the future? Do I must work on ICU to be eligible to take CCRN exam?
chare 3,951 Posts Nov 2, 2017 Yes, you can take the CCRN. Aside from the required 1,750 hours in direct care of acutely/critically ill patients during the previous 2 years, there is no mandate that they must be obtained in any particular unit.Best wishes.
