Can I Shadow You?

HI, been a member for a while but not a frequent poster but i judiciously scour this site EVERY NIGHT before i go to sleep for new info...

I am applying to CRNA school this summer for 2009, work in the Inland Empire at a large catholic hospital ICU, open heart trained and CCRN certified, about to be IABP trained soon. we dont use CRNAs at our facility, only MDAs and i know there is one i can ask to shadow but the rest dont look too receptive. so i was thinking how grerat it would be to shadow A CRNA instead...so please if u can or are willing let me know i live within 1 hr of LA . I am dedicated, diligent, smart, intelligent, spunky and very very eager to learn, u can even give me homework to do i will do it before i come, so please if u dont mind CAN I SHADOW YOU?

Are you in LA, meaning Los Angeles?? Why dont you email the program directors of programs in the area that you are interested in? Ask them if there is a CRNA that would be interested in allowing a you (a potential SNRA) to shadow for a day. They love that, and its a great way to touch base with the "big dog" while you are "fresh", think smart, a lot of the application process is the time put into networking!!!;)

P.S. trust me, i harrassed my program director to let me in!!!!!!;)
