Need some advice please!
I graduated from my program last December (2014) and had to take time away from nursing for personal issues. But I'm getting my head back in nursing mode and I'm scared due to the time I had to take off. I am able to take the Kaplan review course as it was included in my program.
Does anyone have opinions on whether I should take the online classroom vs on demand? Also, do you think the Kaplan course will be sufficient enough to help me pass 8 months out??

Anything helps. Some learning sources are good for some but not all. I have never tried kaplan. I did ncbsn, brilliantnurse.com, and lacharity Prioritizing book.
I too graduate in December'14. After graduation, I took time to travel. So I failed my first attempt. So I spent 2 months after that to study. I finally was successfully on nclex.
You can do it too. Review contents, do questions everyday and read rationale.

Have you studied at all during the past 8 mos.? I used Kaplan because it was part of my nursing program. I loved it! I graduated dec'14 took my test in March and passed. Had friend who just took her test end of May and passed. Had friends to take their test in January to fail and pass....so it just depend on a lot of things....
Thanks JaaaeyRN :)

No, I haven't studied at all. But I'm hoping the information hasn't expired from my brain just yet; though I do feel rusty. And hopefully the Kaplan course helps to refresh a lot of material.

Kaplan is more how to answer the questions. HURST is more of a review of material. I know you said Kaplan is included in your program but if you need a refresher on material, I would recommend doing HURST before Kaplan.
