Would it be possible for an RN to join AANA? I checked on the site, but didn't see any opportunities for nurses to join.
It seems like memberbership for us wannabees could potientially generate quite a bit of revenue for AANA, even if the membership was educational-based. I would really like to be a member now; any thoughts or advice will be appreciated.
Thanks! :kiss

I tried to join before I went to school also, but you can only join if you are a CRNA or a CRNA student.

I also tried to join prior to offically becoming an SRNA. I e-mailed my program director after being accepted because I could not find anything regarding becoming a member prior to offically starting a CRNA program. I was told by my director exactly what heartICU stated in his/her post. In general at your program orientation you will get an AANA application to fill out. Located on the back page is a section which must be signed and submitted by your program director, confirming that you are an enrolled student in an accredited CRNA program. SRNA membership is only $20 per year in contrast to $495 that CRNA's pay annually.

Actually, it's $20 for program length!!! Even better than $20 per year!
I did the same at my program, filled out the paper work on orientation day.
If you know a CRNA or student, ask for their journals when they are finished with them to read through.
