I'm still in high school but I want to take a night school CNA class. If I get certified as a nursing assisant will anyplace hire me? I'd like to get a summer job at a nursing home or a hospital but the class is exspensive and I don't want to waste my time or money. Thank you.

call around and see. One of the high schools in my city actually has a CNA program in it and is training girls while they are in high school. I am not sure if you have to be 18 or not to work as a CNA tho.

In my class you had to be 18. Don't know about a high school diploma though. There are some places that will train you and pay you as you do your student hours. I thought no way was there a program around here that would do that but sure enough everyone said there was. So I paid for training when I didn't need to. Doesn't hurt to ask around. CNA's are always needed!
