Is it possible for me to get into one of IVY Tech's nursing programs with one B in A&P? The rest are A's and my TEAS score was a 95. Do I have a chance or should I retake A&P?
Thanks in Advance.

You do have a chance. Many people get in with one B plus your TEAS score is very high. If you have time to retake it, go for it but I think you should be just fine.
Good luck

The program chair at Ivy Tech in Indy said that the highest TEAS score that they have ever had was a 97. If you really got a 95, I don't think the B will hold you back. Ivy Tech now takes 60 RN students and 60 LPN students. I am sure someone in there got a B on something!
Great job getting A's and a great TEAS btw! Good luck applying- hope you get in!

You should be fine for the RN program and definitely ok for the LPN.
I had all A's and a 91 and I am in the RN program at Indy.
You have the equivelant of all A's and an 87 TEAS. If you apply to the region where you live, you get an extra 3 points. Someone correct me if I'm wrong....that was just real quick in my head and it's been a long and hectic day!

Actually your day must of gotten to you. The OP's score is the equivalent of getting all A's and a 85 on the TEAS. Her overall score is 205 (if out of area)and 208(in area). Very doable for getting in the ASN program.
Hopefully the OP has already applied as the deadline has passed.
Hope that helps,
T

LOL....I misread. I thought the OP had a 97 on TEAS.

206 was the cut-off for indy this semester (a girl with a 205 was told she was on the alternate list, but I think she said she got accepted at anderson or somewhere and she would be declining indy) sooo, i guess it's just iffy, but on the other hand to retake anp it would hold you back til next fall b/c you have to have that semester btw and apps are due sept 1st for spring....so try! and remember, you can grad from the lpn, take the nclex and jump right back into transition rn and still do it all in the same amount of time. just a thought :)
