Hello all,
My family is relocating overseas in 2 months and the Nursing Council over there asks me to have a hard copy of my RN license for license application. I understand that Maryland BON no longer issues license cards. Does anyone know if the Board would issue some kind of certificates in my case?
I also have some documents which need to be filled out by the board. I tried emailing and calling them but couldn't get a hold on anyone. Would you suggest me to go to Baltimore in person and ask them?
Thanks a lot in advance.

MD's BON is notoriously difficult, pretty much with everything they do.
I don't think they do any sort of hard copy of your license - just the print out of the page from the website. Maybe you'd be able to get something like that from Nursys?
If it's not too far for you, I would suggest going in person. Sucks, but it's the only way to get them to do anything!
Thanks for your reply. Yes, I read other posts on allnurses. All posters agreed that BON is VERY slow. I will go there in person and get everything done. Thanks again.

The MBON stated several years ago that they will no longer issue hard copy licenses. As stated above, you just have to print out the page from their web site.
