Can I accept more than one offer of admissions for a few weeks?

Published

I'm waiting to hear back from a few places where my parents or boyfriend will be next year. It could be in two different provinces. Is it ok if I accept two?

If you're going through OCAS, you can only accept one at a time. However; you can change your mind and cancel the one you do choose and then accept the other one.

what if it's not on OCAS. I don't even know if it's legally allowed. Is there a way schools might know?

I don't know about legally be allowed. From my experience (which doesn't say much) You can accept one through the school directly and OCAS will have no idea. Not fair holding up a seat though if you don't need it as so many students are waiting for a seat. JMO

I agree. I'm just waiting until I know which province I'll end up in. Thanks for your help.

All that will happen is you will be out money if the school requires an immediate deposit when you accept your spot. Some of those deposits are non refundable. I think most schools have wait lists and there's always jostling right at the beginning of term with people giving up their spots and others being accepted off the wait list, sometimes even already once term has started.
