I check the Carribean Life free newspaper (found at some banks, supermarkets), nursing homes, New York Presbeterian's website-nyp.org, other hospital websites and mostly agencies. Also Sunday Daily News and post has some CNA jobs.
I hope you find a job that gives you a schedule that accomodates your class schedule!! Wish you well!
I go to school evenings, with classes after 6:30pm everyday so I MUST get a job that allows me to continue with my nursing school. That is a priority. CNA is just a stepping stone and I would sooner get a 9-5 clerical job to continue w/ nursing school than quit nursing school to get a CNA job, lol, ha, ha.
The offers that I had were 7am-7pm schedules and these would NOT allow me to continue w/ college so I am looking for a 7am-3pm/8am-4pm schedule so that I can do it. I really want to be a CNA and continue direct care work w/ patients. The experience in a hospital or nursing home will help me as I do my nursing clinicals.
