The state looks at your transcripts so if your cases are not concurrent it doesn't matter if MSN or not the cases will not meet requirements and therefore be denied

Kabayan, I know for a fact, as a batchmate's cousin, was denied her ATT in CA. It was noted that in CA (and I'm sure in all other states, especially those enforcing the concurrency rules), in the evaluation of ALL your college transcripts, the BSN is the "foundation" and if it's deemed your BSN is flawed, then, it will not make a difference in obtaining a MSN from PH.

You can try to work in other current non-enforcing states, such as FL, NY or FL as a few examples, but forget about trying to endorse back into CA or other concurrency enforcing states, as it will pose the same exact problem you will have that caused your CA application to be denied.

There is one other possible solution that has worked for someone (and a few others) to get your ATT in CA and able to meet the concurrency rules, here's their success story:

There it is.. This was where I actually got the idea if whether a Master's Degree holder can be illegible to take the exam in Cali.. I quotes this from this section, from this link https://allnurses.com/nurse-registration/ca-board-nursing-647809.html

This was what the evaluator told him/her when she reapplied for nclex in california..

so i email the evaluator incharge of my application and she explains ::::
You have options and that is to apply to the LVN Board or in another RN Board in a different state or go for your master’s degree in nursing. But in California you are not qualified as a RN without the Master’s degree.
According to the RLE and the school’s curriculum you should have completed the scrubs in NCM 101 and 102 but they were completed in NCM 104, 105 and 103. I am enclosing a copy of the letter that was sent to you yesterday.

Please, can anyone explain to me this thing/scenario in which she why she was told to just take up master's degree to be illegible?

I submitted my transcripts for my academics in MAster's Degree.. Still my analyst ask me for my clinical cases., which I don't have anymore. so master's degree is not accepted..

To dhenz91, when you say "illegible", it's a bit confusing as you're saying "not eligible", so it's more correct to say "eligible", now that we got that out of the way.

The posted quote you mentioned refers to a Master's degree from the USA, not from the Phils.

Again, if your BSN is deemed to be not in full compliance with the CA BRN as your educational "foundation", then the Master's is very likely at about 99.999% not going to qualify by the CA BRN minimum standards. This is again what my batchmate's cousin told me back then. You will need to complete a MSN program in the States, if it's the Master's degree you wish to have on your title.

If by chance, it's a MAN degree from the Phils, it's really not going to fly at all.

Does this mean that if I take my Masters in the States even if I took my BSN in the Philippines then I will be eligible to take the NCLEXRN?

No because the BON/BRN will look at your nurse training not your masters. Plus most Masters courses require you to have an active RN license
