Hello eveyone :) I'm a second year SN. We were assigned a paper based off of 3 interview questions and were given two weeks for the assignment. I finally found a nurse who was able to answer them so I emailed the questions to her and gave her a week to reply, that way I would have a week to write my paper. Unfortunately, something came up and she was not able to get back to me in time, so now I'm at a loss because I'm not sure if I can find someone else in time. So I was wondering if a community health nurse with 2+ years of experience can help? If so, I would greatly appreciate it!
Here are the questions:
1) Based on the population needs identified by the organization you work for, identify and discuss your most challenging teaching experience and how you managed the situation.
2) What are the most important professional characteristics for you in your role and why?
3) What advice would you give to a new graduate to prepare for the role of a community health nurse?
Thanks sooo much to anyone who can help!

A quick thought - are there any local nurses you can talk to directly? Might be better, quicker.
When I was a PHN long ago, I had a language barrier - had to get interpreters. Challenging because I never really knew if that person was interpreting accurately, as it was often a child or family member or neighbor, not knowledgeable in medical jargon. Also, maybe the parties were embarrassed.
All professional characteristics are important. Integrity, skill, knowledge, honesty, courtesy and respect, being non-judgmental even when our values clashed, etc. Not sure any one is more important than the others.
I guess a new grad should prep by exploring the role (spend time learning it as a student and find a community you find interesting and want to learn more about or one you already know well. Study hard and learn a lot about Nursing in general. Think of the community as the foundation of society. It is several families/individuals binding together in one sense, geographic in another sense.
Hope this helps some.
