This is my first year of nursing school. I am having some difficulty in my Fundamental of Nursing class. Does anyone have any techniques they used or are still using that can possibly help me?

My biggest fear is Pharmacueticals. Is it good to just memorize all the major drugs, be familiar with typical dosage, and side effects? Or do you use a reference book on the job frequently? I feel comfortable around pt, and am pretty logical, but I don't have a good memory for details. Is that going to be a real problem being a LPN? (I am thinking more on the job, not so much in school. I am a decent test taker) I don't want to be a dangerous nurse!
