hi everyone, i know this may sound like a strange question, and i hope it is okay that i'm asking it here. but i was just wondering if any of you knew if anorexia can cause acid reflux, or heart-burn, gerd, pain after eating, etc.... or anything like that.
:) thanks for your help, in advanced.

I don't really know the answer, but I was kind of wondering the same thing. My 17 year old son has really bad acid reflux and sometimes even vomits after eating. He doesn't have anorexia or bulemia, but he's a very picky eater and if he doesn't like what I'm cooking, he won't eat, or he'll eat junk. He's had an upper GI and it was normal. He's scheduled for a gastroscopy soon. I wonder if it's related to his poor eating habits. Does anyone know the answer to this?
yea, i was wondering that too. had an upper gi done, ct, mri, blood tests, ultrasounds, etc.. and many many other things, and they still didn't know what was going on with me. i'm completely fine now, but just curious what all that stuff was? i had horrible heart-burn. horrible. i would get pain for hours, vomit, etc... it was bad. they had no idea what was wrong with me. well, actually, they did find out that i can acid reflux. and i started taking previcid for it. didn't really help. neither did prilosec, zantac, etc... i wondered if it could have been my old eating habits that caused it? that pain comes and goes. i had it for a long time. then it went away for about 7 months. came back for 2 months, and now its been gone for about 2 months. who knows. just wondering what you all thought. i looked it up on the internet, but couldn't find anything.
thanks.
