CAMC has a long history of low pay and work overload to the floor nurses. The way they evaluate a nurse is strange, even if the nurse is an outstanding employee.
The most I ever heard of a nurse getting as a raise was 5%. Most of the time it is 3-4%. COL raises are few and far between too.
Shockingly interesting site.
(Try choosing State Police)
I couldn't see how to find CAMC manager pay--how?
I cannot find it under that link but to get to what the person is talking about go to the WV healthcare authority website and click on yoda. Then click financial disclose and over 55,000 paid. You may be really surprised. A few 90,000 dollar nurses in local hospitals.
Thanks! If you click on "Total Compensation", the site will line them up by amt.
I wouldn't say my aunt works an exorbitant amount of OT -- no more than any other RN. She is on call and gets call pay, and lots more if she actually has to go in...but normally getting called in is the exception not the norm. Otherwise, its M-F 7-4. I wouldn't call that outrageous. The OR is known to be one of highest paying areas for RNs in general.

Having trouble finding salaries of individuals on that website-- Any suggestions? Also, is that over 55k from one employer, or all employers together? Either way, I actually should have been on there, but couldn't find myself.
(I work a ton of overtime...)

use this site: http://www.hcawv.org/vs5filenet/qspec.aspx
1. under category, click "financial disclosure"
2. choose the year you want results for
3. under document type, click "over $55,000 paid"
it will give you the salaries, with names, of every employee in every wv healthcare setting (listed alphabetically) that was paid over $55,000 for the year chosen. i assume from just one employer, not combined.
