Calling experienced AZ RNs: CRMC vs HH?

U.S.A. Arizona

Hi everyone,

I realize this is a very specific question and may not apply to a lot of people. I currently work at HonorHealth Osborn (formerly Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn), and have an opportunity to take a position on a more acute floor at the same hospital, which is what I am looking for. I was also really fortunate to be extended an offer at Chandler Regional today and I got a really cool vibe from the facility and everyone I met in my interview. I'm trying not to use pay as a deciding factor, so I'm throwing this question out into the universe: If you've worked for both companies, what do you think?? Did you prefer one company over the other? I've only ever worked for SHC/HH, so I do not have anything to compare the company to. Both positions are working with the same patient population, so that isn't a factor.

Thanks in advance for all your wisdom :)

I worked at CRMC before the new tower was built and currently work with both hospitals away from the bedside. Personally, I am inclined to side with CRMC just because it is a Dignity Health hospital, which is based in California. Scottsdale Healthcare is still in the process of merging with John C. Lincoln, especially at the leadership level. Dignity is just a much more stable employer IMHO.

An example of this is the inclusion of some respiratory therapists in the former nursing only vascular access teams due to economic pressures to reduce payroll expenses. The Dignity hospitals however have not had the same pressures applied to them.

Good luck!
