Calling experienced AZ RNs: CRMC vs HH?
Hi everyone, I realize this is a very specific question and may not apply to a lot of people. I currently work at HonorHealth Osborn (formerly Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn), and have an opportunity to take a position on a more acute floor at the same hospital, which is what I am looking for. I was also really fortunate to be extended an offer at Chandler Regional today and I got a really cool vibe from the facility and everyone I met in my interview. I'm trying not to use pay as a deciding factor, so I'm throwing this question out into the universe: If you've worked for both companies, what do you think?? Did you prefer one company over the other? I've only ever worked for SHC/HH, so I do not have anything to compare the company to. Both positions are working with the same patient population, so that isn't a factor. Thanks in advance for all your wisdom :)

SCC Accelerated Program Info.
That is not true. There IS a partnership program still. I am an SHC employee who was placed for Spring 2012 and just attended my registration session. The only change to the program is that it is no longer accelerated, so we are now on a 24 month track like other traditional programs.

Sept. 13 2011.... For Spring 2012 Placements...
Thank you! I plan on working there during the program. As long as I work 16/week I get my tuition and books paid for. I'm also hoping it will help me get a job as a new grad. It took me a few months of applying before I actually got an interview. If you're still interested, don't overlook on-call positions. From what I've seen, on-call employees still work a set schedule like a part-timer, they are just not eligible for any benefits (and everyone who is on-call in my department moved into a part-time position pretty quickly if they wanted to).

Sept. 13 2011.... For Spring 2012 Placements...
I found a job working in Nutrition and Food Services. I really enjoy it as I get a fair amount of patient contact and it's great for networking with nurses on the floor.

Sept. 13 2011.... For Spring 2012 Placements...
I was placed in the SHC Traditional Program for Spring 2012. My time stamp was 06/2010 (sorry, I couldn't remember the time and I don't see it on my status page anymore). I've only been an employee at SHC for 6 months, so I'm feeling extremely lucky to only have been waiting a little over a year total to be placed into a program.
