UPDATE: Changes: New Log In Requirement

Hi I just wanted to create this discussion for those that applied to CSUSM ABSN for Spring 2026 start. I haven't gotten an acceptance email yet but in my CSUSM portal it says I've been admitted to the program so im just wondering if anyone else got the same thing.

Does anyone know when we will have to complete other tasks like the background check? In the email they linked the resource page, but it doesn't seem to have any information specific to ABSN except for the Fall orientation date.

Hi Alison,

I reached out to one of the advisors today and she said we should hear more info soon on how to complete the background check, drug screening, and other onboarding requirements. I guess we just have to wait for now, but she also provided me with this link to get an idea of what to expect. https://www.CSUSM.edu/el/programs/health-medical/bsnursingaccelerated/absnadmittedstudentinfo.html.  The dates and information currently listed is for the Fall cohort, but she told me that the general process will be similar. No. I never got one! I got an acceptance letter, but never saw an evaluation sheet.

Just got the compliance email today with all of the things we have to get done before we start. For complio I'm a little confused because it says to choose the new incoming student bundle which should include a background check and placement matching and rotation access but on the complio website the new incoming student bundle doesn't include the placement and rotation access, instead it has the clinical rotation tracking. Theres an option at the bottom for placement matching and rotation access for an additional $25 tho so IDK if we choose that too?  So the total would be $196 for everything?

Hello, 

I was able to select the "New Incoming Students" Bundle which states that it includes the rotation access. I would suggest trying again and make sure you have all the correct fields selected like what school, program etc and to select the ABSN 52 cohort. It came out to like $182 in total.

I am also having that problem, what did you end up doing?

I ended up getting both the new student bundle and the separate placement matching. So my total was around $200. But I emailed the school and they just responded to only buy the new student bundle. Still confusing tho bc the websites contradict each other.

Okay cool that's what I did too. It just seems so chaotic
