California State University, Sacramento (Sac State) BSN Program - Spring 2026

Published

Hello everyone! I tried looking for a thread on the Spring 2026 application cycle and couldn't find one so I decided to make one. Feel free to share your experience and share questions about the Sac State traditional nursing program for Spring 2026.

Don't worry! You will definitely get in I promise you

Thank you!! Im still confident just wish it was faster to find out 😂 im hoping there's a chance they will update it again this week before break, but im not sure

woah so there are still alternates 😮 what number are you?

I'm #15, they just accepted #14. The email said they will pull from the list until a week before orientation

as soon as they accept you, ill make sure to send you link to our chatroom 🫡

@OhThatsABaseball

hey! Could you add me as well? I was accepted back in November.

Hey, everyone! I just heard back from Chico and I got in but I'm in a dilemma: Sac is my first choice since Im local, but they're still 14 on the waitlist and my deadline to accept is Dec. 13th. Does anyone know my chances of the list going past 17th, or should I just bite the bullet and go to Chico? Both schools are appealing to me so I wouldn't mind going to Chico anyway but I just prefer sac since its driving distance. Would appreciate any input~

Hey! I am also still on the alternate list. From what I've gathered I think they're only updating it once a week and they updated it this Tuesday. Honestly if you have to decide by tomorrow they probably won't update it. Are you able to accept it and then take it back? I'm not sure how it works but I doubt sac will get to updating the list before the weekend , of course I don't know for sure but that's my input

I would accept and then follow whatever they have and then drop out once you accept Sac State, None of our "To-Dos" are due until January 2nd , so you will have plenty of time if you find out next week just make sure to start prepping to get your immunizations (including TB 2 step) done and put on an Electronic medical records pdf or however they do it with your health provider. the other two things are the drug test and the background which you can take care of quickly 👍🏻. Goodluck and stay calm ☺️ either way you have made it into a program 👏🏻👏🏻

Is it actually viable to accept a seat at one program just to drop out? I feel like it would be crummy to accept and then hold onto a spot that I may not end up attending. I called to ask Chico today, but the office was closed 😕

Hi! I took both you and @morgan ford advice and just accepted anyways - right when I did, Sac State got back to me and accepted me as #17 over the weekend! I was finally able to call Chico today and they confirmed its no big deal rescinding my seat acceptance. TY both for the advice - hope everything works out for both of you as well!
